Angels and Demons

“Angels and Demons”, a recent fictional movie  featuring Tom Hanks, the same actor who featured in his other fictional movie, “The Da Vinci Code”, will probably attract as many viewers as its predecessor. Have you noticed that there is a growing, and remarkable, interest in the supernatural of late? Have you stopped to wonder why? Things are stepping up in God’s supernatural realm. There has always been a certain idle curiosity about such things but there is no question that it is becoming more focused. The occult is rampant, in all its forms, including satanic ritual worship.

Do you ever wonder what happens to all the missing people? I do. The works of darkness are not new but is that darkness becoming bolder? And what do we do to offset it? We inform ourselves, people, that’s what we do. However, be sure your sources are true. There are many plausible counterfeits. The Word of God, Jesus Christ, is the only truth, the only man who cannot lie, for in him there is no darkness.

Let’s talk about real angels and demons. They are all spirits created by God for good, but not all were without their private ambitions, which set them apart from the will of God. That proved to be disastrous for those that fell, who became the demons, and for we humans through our ancestral parents, Adam and Eve, who fell with a resounding thump for the great deceiver himself, Satan, the leader of the evil band. Jesus and Mary came to reverse that curse of rebellion, and did, by their obedience. A good message for us there!

For those who do not know the evil creature, that liar from hell, and his conniving ways let me tell you just some of his names. Think about them: prince of the air (having communication problems, are you?), prince of darkness, prince of this world, son of destruction, father of sin, accuser of God’s people, adversary, angel of light (appears to be so very good), power of death, thief, wicked one, the evil one etc. Don’t let anyone tell you he is not a person but only a force. He is a force alright! And we have been given the arms to defend ourselves against him and his forces of darkness.

Read our page: Fight the Good Fight for more on this. Do not believe, either, that the battle is between Jesus and Satan in this end time. Absolutely not! Jesus went to the Cross to save us, once for all. Now we have to unite with his spirit and rise up with love for those who are lost, and stand against the enemy who is raging for their souls. We are in an invisible, though becoming more visible, spiritual war and although we are spirits, in physical bodies, with souls needing saved, and made in the image of God, there are others, pure spirits, far more powerful than we who are gearing up.

I talk of the betrayed holy angelic brethren who are sent by the Father to demolish these infernal demons. The Holy Angels are armed and ready but, like God, they will not go against our free will even to protect us. We must implore their help. To befriend the Holy Angels the best place to start is with your Guardian Angel whose one and only work it is to save your soul and get you to heaven. Can’t be bad, can it? Some have even asked his name and been rewarded!

The Holy Guardians, (for there are dark ones also) are in total obedience to God to assist us in all matters. Here is an excellent ancient prayer to get you going if you don’t already know it:

Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God’s love commits me here, Ever this day/night be at my side, To light and guard and rule and guide. 

 If you want to know the angels start thanking God for your Guardian. Pray to him; get to know him for he is right by your side. He is handpicked by God just for you and given, I believe, at your conception. Or, perhaps, more accurately, before you left God for he says in the good book that he knew you before you were conceived in your mother’s womb. How awesome is that!
