Fighting Fire with Fire

Fighting Fire with Fire

1 Peter 4:17-19 “The season of judgment has begun, and begun with God’s own household. If it begins this way with us, what must be the end for those who refuse obedience to the gospel of God? And if the just man is saved only with difficulty, what is to become of the godless and the sinner? Accordingly, let those who suffer as God will require to continue in good deeds, and entrust their lives to a faithful creator.”

Recently I went to visit a friend in New Bern, North Carolina which required me to leave very early in the morning before daylight. While traveling on the road I soon became aware of what looked like a very dense fog which was so thick I could only see a few feet in front of the car. I slowed down and then I became aware of smoke which made me believe it was a fire. Police and fire engines were all over the place directing traffic. I was told it was a controlled burn.

A controlled burn is a technique used in fire management, farming, and prairie restoration. Controlled burning stimulates the germination of some desirable forest trees renewing the forest. Some cones such as the sequoia need heat for fire to disperse seeds. Controlled burns are used to stop larger fires that may come in the same area, fighting fire with fire.

The same technique is used by the medical profession to fight cancer cells with radiation, another kind of controlled burn that I am presently undergoing myself.  So, what is the Lord saying to us?  Perhaps each one will have to undergo a controlled burn to be rid of what should not be there.

Luke 12: 49-53 :     “I came to send fire on the earth and how I wish it were already kindled. I have a baptism to be baptized with, and distressed I am until it is accomplished.  Do you suppose that I have come to give peace on the earth? I tell you not at all, but rather division.  For from now on five in one house will be divided, three against two and two against three………….”

Jesus is sending the purifying fire of the Holy Spirit first to the church and NOW to the world at large. He is giving us the opportunity to repent  of our personal sins and also the sins of the nations by purifying us with a controlled fire so that we have new life. If we don’t accept the controlled burn then we will find ourselves in a major fire.

When you choose Christ then be ready for the persecution that will surely follow. However, if you do not choose Christ you will suffer for eternity.  THERE IS NO GRAY AREA. We will either gather with him or scatter without Him.

The Virgin of Revelation

The Virgin of Revelation : Mary Appears in Defense of God! The Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

“Enter into the true fold, God’s Kingdom on earth”

Mary appeared  to a zealous enemy of the Church.      (Church approval pending)

“I am the one that is of the Divine Trinity.”             Because of her relationship to each person in the Blessed Trinity—–daughter of the Eternal Father, spouse of the Holy Spirit and mother of the Divine Son—–she is altogether unique among all of God’s creation.

“I am the Virgin of the Revelation.”                               By this second title she corrects the error of those who would deny her privileges as unfounded, unnecessary inventions of the Catholic Church, not found in Divine Revelation in the Bible.  “Return to the pure source of the Gospel.”

Our Lady had a fourfold message for priests: they were to have a deeper faith in the revealed truths of the Faith, greater obedience to the Teaching Authority of the Church, a vigilant prudence in dealing with people, and a pure and dignified life style.

Enter into the true fold, God’s Kingdom on earth. . “Pray much and recite the Rosary for the conversion of sinners, of unbelievers and of all Christians.”

The Virgin of the Revelation also favored her prodigal son with foreknowledge of a portion of the future dogma of the Assumption, proclaimed by Pope Pius XII in 1950. She revealed: “My body could not be allowed to decay. My Son came for me with His Angels . . .”
On April 12, 1980, the 33rd anniversary of the Virgin’s visit, a most astounding public miracle occurred at Tre Fontane in the presence of 3,000 people including some 25 priests.  The sun seemed to turn backwards in the heavens and began to draw near the earth. It could be seen with without straining the eyes. It appeared bigger than normal, and showed within its corona brilliant and diverse colors, in much the same way as the sun “danced” in the sky over Fatima, Portugal in 1917.
Many lapsed Catholics who had not gone to Confession for years returned to the Faith. There were also many physical cures. Two years later the same miracle of the sun was repeated, again on the anniversary date, April 12, 1982. Again the people could look directly at the sun without hurting their eyes. An interesting difference between the two miracles of the sun is that in the first one in 1980 it was lay people who gave testimonies, whereas in 1982 miracle the testimonies were given by the clergy.

What ’s The Time?

How many times do you look at your watch or clock each day to check on the time? How many times do you check on the weather each day before you make plans especially if there are outdoor activities? Knowing the time is an important part of life in making decisions. In some situations it could mean life or death.

On the front page of this website (www.comeholyspirit-tkc.com) Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (Blessed Pope John Paul ll) spoke of the great historical confrontation between good and evil and that it was a battle that the church must go through. It was a battle between the church and the anti-church; the gospel and the anti-gospel and the Christ and the anti-Christ.

Next month I will celebrate 40 years as a priest. In those 40 years I have seen much but I have never, never, never seen what I am seeing in these days. The prophecy of Blessed John Paul II is being fulfilled in front of our own eyes.

The world around us  is falling apart with wars, cataclysmic events, moral depravity, political corruption in all the government institutions, and sad to say even in the church.

We have thrown God out of our government ,the universities, law schools, medical schools, arts, entertainment industry, families, and again in some instances even the church. Priest against Priest; Bishop against Bishop and Cardinal against Cardinal. Open rebellion against Pope Benedict XVl. Much more could be added to this list.

I do not mean to be negative but I must say what I hopefully believe the Holy Spirit and Mary are saying to me during these times. These are the times that Our Lady of Fatima spoke of in 1917.

  • Get right with God asap. Catholics, go to confession and repent of all sin especially sexual sins. Don’t put this off, TIME is short.
  • Go to Mary and cry out to her for protection for ALL people. Pray and fast for the salvation of all souls. Pray the rosary and the divine mercy chaplet. Frequent the mass and receive the eucharist
  • Unite with all Christians seeking to serve and love Jesus Christ.
  • Form small faith groups to share the gospel and truth. Learn to love and serve one another.
  • Get filled with the Holy Spirit and share this grace with everyone

This year of 2012 is a turning point for the world. I believe that all souls will be given the grace to recognize their sins and will also be given the grace to repent. We will be given the opportunity to choose life or death. We either accept mercy or judgment. The choice will be ours.

I am not, I repeat, I am not talking about the end of the world but I am indeed talking about tribulation and chastisement.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary is our strength and hope. She will protect us through all. We need to stand under her mantle of protection as she steps on the head of our ancient enemy.

Carving My Way Through the Blogosphere Morass!

 Hello people,

I’m back at it.  The headbustin’ conflict between wordpress.org and wordpress.com  is now becoming clearer. I took a long sabbatical from all of this which was a really good idea and is recommended to all who are lost in the maze of technocracy.

Hi-tech and me, now there’s water and oil, and yet I know I am taking in some information.  I just haven’t processed it yet so my diligence is still without reward. Think of this.  Think for a moment of all that goes into producing the compelling aroma of fresh coffee that drives us out of bed and into the next stage of life, every single day.   Imagine smelling it for the very first time? You find out what it is and you have to have it.  Where do you begin?  Frantically, surfing the web, bumping into dozens of methods and machines, piling through everything from instant grains or powder, to French percolators and Coffee Machines and everything in between and all unknown.  What to do?  Too much information – impossible to choose?  Oh, ask somebody!  Of course!  Good idea, but whom?  Who would be able to advise? Who would know what you need?

Everybody has some degree of familiarity about how to get hold of a cup of coffee and each knows the best way to do it.  For them!  However, how can they help you to know, for you?  It’s a dilemma and its mine in the technological jungle.  No one can know my coffee taste buds any more than they can know my web capabilities.  Unless you have money to throw at it, you’re pretty much on your own.  Don’t, please, tell anyone but I know why it is all so expensive: it is the most boring, tedious, repetitive, tiresome work since the flood and these pros deserve what they get! (ssshhhhhhh!)  And here’s another thing, Everybody knows more than I do about this stuff and  they all know something different to each other so, with the best will in the world, how do I sift what I am to know from my ignorant stance?  It all comes down to me no matter what I am told. The decision, I mean.  Making a decision about something I know nothing and in which I am, and will continue to be, extremely involved is a lonely place in a world of confusion with too many voices or none at all.  Help!!  In addition, suddenly there it is. Eureka! I have landed in that great place, alongside Paul, who cried out, who can rescue me from this and got the instant ah hah, of course, who else but Jesus, who knows me like no other.  Freedom! there it is.  From now on, he can do the thinking.  He knows me like no other and has far more patience with me than I do.  He knows what will work for me and for his purpose, because it’s all for him, you know.  Do you think I am nuts?  I wouldn’t put myself through this for me, crazy person.  No, no, no, there is no reward in that. This is all Kingdom stuff.  I just have to get to the place where I can smell the coffee, and then we’re brewing!  Panic off!  Just keep praying, for heaven’s sake, lean back, take your time, ease in slowly, don’t overload, a little at a time every day, just a little, until there is a tiny sparkle of life, a gleam of understanding.  I get it.  I get it, Fr. Ed.  I push too hard against the old lying tapes of ‘stupid, stupid, stupid’, which, of course, we are not.  We aren’t, you know.  Not you, not me.

You know all it is, folks?  We are just unfamiliar with what we are trying to learn, which is why we have to learn it.  Somehow, we get the idea that we should know everything at birth and get frustrated when we don’t.  So you bought the wrong coffee, the wrong machine!  So what?  So, you lost some money in the process, to say nothing of your temper?  Well, too bad, you’re still here and you’re still learning, and if it’s not this, it will be that, because learning is one of the few things worth doing on this earth.

So, take heart, my heart, you are alive and well in this morass of invisible communication, without wires, without people, just your beat, my head and this infernal machine that determines to replace  speech and discourse, the sound of laughter, the warmth of a smile, a touch, a shared glass of wine, this place of extraordinarily fascinating words like ‘cyberspace’ and ‘blogosphere’, this new, invisible world.

I must go and forge on until I have sufficiently mastered the wonders of weblog in order to hasten that moment of joy when, like the Walrus, I can say:

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
Of cabbages—-and kings—
And why the sea is boiling hot—
And whether pigs have wings.”    Lewis Carroll

Let us give thanks to God for that and so much more.  Blessings on you, your friends and families, one Nation under God.

Is This Prophecy a Call to the Whole Body of Christ?

posted by Elizabeth Pringle

In 1978, Fr. Bob Bedard, Founder of the Companions of the   Cross, was given this EXTRAORDINARY PROPHECY regarding the Body of Christ and the call to UNITY which is so embedded in the heart of Fr. Ed Wade, CC:

September 20, 1978:  The Lord is speaking :

“I am going to bring it all together and I have a word for you now, my ancient people:  (Catholics)

I want you to get ready. I want you to get ready for what I am going to do.

As I put my people together, I want you to bring with you what I have done with you over twenty centuries.

What I have taught you is for all.

You can learn from one another, my people. My ancient people, you can learn from the others.

You can l earn from the Evangelicals and the famous world -wide ministries the importance of calling people to faith, how essential it is to make a personal faith decision, to accept Jesus, my Son, as Saviour and Lord, for so he is.

You can learn from the Pentecostals how to be open to all the gifts of my Holy Spirit, how to have great expectancy of me, of how I will intervene in your lives.

You can learn from the Anglicans how to be a body submitted to authority and yet comfortable with allowing all believers to have part in coming to decisions and in choosing leaders.

You can learn from the Orthodox in the profound beauty of their worship.

You can learn from the Baptists how vital it is for adults to make a real profession of faith.

You can learn from the Presbyterians the riches that lie in lay ministry, what it means to be a royal priesthood.

You can learn from the Lutherans how salvation is my free gift, that you don’t earn it.

And you can learn from these and from many others, much, much more. For they are my people too and I have not been idle in their midst.

But, my people of the ages. my ancient people , my Catholic people, know too that these others need to learn from you. I have been with you over the centuries. Don’t back out on me now. Don’t water down what I have done with you. Share your riches.

Teach them what it is to be a Eucharistic people, to be united and healed around the table of my Son.

Teach them what I have taught you about community, sharing life, about celibacy, about poverty.

Teach them about the role of Peter. My Son, Jesus, asked him three times about his love and told him: Feed my lambs , Feed my little sheep, Feed my sheep. Show them how Peter’s ministry continues today.

Teach them of the union you have with those who have gone before, of Mary, the chosen mother of my Son. Do not be afraid to call her Queen of Heaven, for so I have made her and so she is.

Teach them what I have spoken to you down through the ages through Benedict, and Augustine, and Jerome, and Basil, and Catherine, and Thomas, and Theresa, and John, and Gregory, and Francis, and Dominic, and Ignatius. Show them that my people, all my people, stand on the shoulders of giants, giants that I myself have raised up.

Teach them how I speak to my people, that only in the body of my Son can my word be discerned and authentically and surely known.

Come together, my people. Be together. Pray together. Work together. But come in fullness, with all that I have given you. Find out who you are, my people. Search out your roots.

But be guided by your shepherds for each step along the way. For I have chosen them well, with great care, and have invested them with wisdom and sensitivity and have given them and will continue to give them a prophetic word for you. Do not pass them by. For you will risk in doing so the further fracturing of the Body of my Son.

It is broken and wounded now. You need to weep for that. You need to experience the pain of your divisions. I did not divide the Body. But I will bring good out of the division. I am doing it now. I will continue to do it. I will perform a mighty work of healing in the Body of my Son on earth. I will forge a oneness the world will not be able to ignore. I will make of the Church that light on the mountain top, that light to all the world.

But to do this I need you. You are a part of my plan. Find out who you are and bring that with you as you walk and work with me in this faith adventure.

This is Fr. Ed Wade’s response to the above prophecy of the Founding Father of the Companions :

A few weeks ago a friend of mind sent me a copy of this prophecy that Father Bob Bedard gave in 1978 and was published in the CC newsletter in 1987. As I read it through a few times I was struck by the fact that I never knew of its existence and also by the fact it seemed that it was a clear mandate and commission for the Companions of the Cross to break down the dividing walls that exist within the Christian community at large.

The prophecy came to my attention at a significant time in my life. I saw it as a confirmation of the work that I have been doing the last year here in North Carolina in bringing the Christian communities together to seek restoration and reconciliation. I am seeing, and experiencing, the gifts and talents that we all bring to the table to further the proclamation of the gospel in the world today. How do we expect the world to believe that Christianity has any value or much to say when the Body of Christ is so fractured?

Christian values are being attacked from the outside by secular ideologies and well as from within the
church itself, yes by both clergy and laity alike who seek to destroy or reinvent the church according to their  own taste .

The key to establishing unity must begin by learning how to love and trust one another. The first wall to come down lies within our own heart  which separates us from God, others and ourselves.

People are looking for truth, love and acceptance. As we seek to build and restore the body of Jesus Christ then we can expect to see revival. How can the Holy Trinity possibly ignore our pleas and crying out?

We are seeing the Holy Spirit move throughout North Carolina for those seeking unity. Call it what you will but there is a grass roots movement and I don’t believe this can be stopped. Leaders from various parts of the US are moving to North Carolina.

I urge everyone to prayerfully read the prophecy of Father Bob and then ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you.

St Nilus Prophecy on the Coming Chastisement 430 AD

posted by Elizabeth Pringle

The Prophecy of St. Nilus about Our Days

We received from a Priest, one of our readers, the following prophecy of St. Nilus and this information about his life – died around the year 430 AD.
Realizing that St. Nilus is scarcely known to a large part of the Church, a brief sketch of his life, taken from the Catholic Encyclopedia (1911 copyright edition), is related below:

St. Nilus was one of the many disciples and fervent defenders of St. John Chrysostom. From his monastery at Sinai, St. Nilus was a well-known person throughout the Eastern Church. Through his writings and correspondence, he played an important part in the history of his time. He was known as a theologian, Biblical scholar and ascetic writer, so people of all kinds, from the Emperor down wrote to consult him.

His numerous works,  consist of denunciations of heresy, paganism, abuses of discipline and crimes. He also wrote about rules and principles of asceticism, especially maxims on the religious life. He warns and threatens people in high places, Abbots and Bishops, Governors and Princes, even the Emperor himself, without fear. St. Nilus must be counted as one of the leading ascetic writers of the 5th century. His feast is kept on November 12th in the Byzantine Calendar; he is commemorated also in the Roman Martyrology on the same date. St. Nilus probably died around the year 430, as there is no evidence of his life after that date.

burbtn.gif - 43 Bytes                                                                     The Prophecy of St. Nilus

After the year 1900, toward the middle of the 20th century, the people of that time will become unrecognizable. When the time for the Advent of the Antichrist approaches, people’s minds will grow cloudy from carnal passions, and dishonor and lawlessness will grow stronger. Then the world will become unrecognizable.

People’s appearances will change, and it will be impossible to distinguish men from women due to their shamelessness in dress and style of hair. These people will be cruel and will be like wild animals because of the temptations of the Antichrist. There will be no respect for parents and elders, love will disappear, and Christian pastors, Bishops and priests will become vain men, completely failing to distinguish the right-hand way from the left.

At that time, the morals and traditions of Christians and of the Church will change. People will abandon modesty, and dissipation will reign. Falsehood and greed will attain great proportions, and woe to those who pile up treasures. Lust, adultery, homosexuality, secret deeds and murder will rule in society.

Apostasy

At that future time, due to the power of such great crimes and licentiousness, people will be deprived of the grace of the Holy Spirit, which they received in Holy Baptism and equally of remorse.

The Churches of God will be deprived of God-fearing and pious pastors, and woe to the Christians remaining in the world at that time; they will completely lose their faith because they will lack the opportunity of seeing the light of knowledge from anyone at all. Then they will separate themselves out of the world in holy refuges in search of lightening their spiritual sufferings, but everywhere they will meet obstacles and constraints. And all this will result from the fact that the Antichrist wants to be Lord over everything and become the ruler of the whole universe, and he will produce miracles and fantastic signs.

Telephones, airplanes, submarines

He will also give depraved wisdom to an unhappy man so that he will discover a way by which one man can carry on a conversation with another from one end of the earth to the other. At that time men will also fly through the air like birds and descend to the bottom of the sea like fish. And when they have achieved all this, these unhappy people will spend their lives in comfort without knowing, poor souls, that it is deceit of the Antichrist. And, the impious one! – he will so complete science with vanity that it will go off the right path and lead people to lose faith in the existence of God in three hypostases.

The coming chastisement

Then the All-good God will see the downfall of the human race and will shorten the days for the sake of those few who are being saved, because the enemy wants to lead even the chosen into temptation, if that is possible… then the sword of chastisement will suddenly appear and kill the Perverter and his servants.

YOUR VIEWS ON PROPHECY

posted by Elizabeth Pringle

There goes the great prophet Elijah, heaven bound.   There’s a wonderful song, “These are the days of Elijah, proclaiming the Word of the Lord!” and we are living in them.  What do you think about prophecy?  We love it!

Christians are a prophetic people.  Our holy book, the Bible, is prophetic and has mostly come to pass.  So what are we waiting for?  The Second Coming of Jesus.

Jesus, who is himself the spirit of prophecy, told us he would send the Holy Spirit who would ‘tell us of things to come’.

We have biblical prophets, the Saints in prophecy, and Mary, who is prophet par excellence in her many messages from her apparitions and inner locutions, particularly those of Fr. Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests.

And we have the modern day prophets coming forth more and more in this century, under the power of the Holy Spirit.

Paul told us to seek prophecy.

Why?  What does prophecy do for us?

 What do you think?

Socialism

posted by Elizabeth

Dear friends,

I realize that I have inundated many of you, via email, regarding my apprehension regarding socialism especially since it has become a buzz word here in the USA in recent years. I am not a political animal, rocket scientist, a prophet of conspiracy theories but neither am I an idiot. One of the greatest threats, if not the greatest threat to Christianity in these days is the doctrine of socialism. This godless smoke of deceit is like a cancer that is spreading around the world in rapid fashion.

In 1978 Karol Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II) said:

“We are living in the greatest confrontation in history between the church/antichurch, gospel/antigospel and Jesus Christ and the antichrist.”  He went on to say that the western world does not perceive this but that it was part of God’s plan of divine providence and that we must go through this battle.

My hope would be that you take a few minutes of your time and go to:

 www.tfp.org

Go to search bar and write “socialism” and then press go. There are a few VERY enlightening sites on socialism especially what the Popes have said about this over years.

Another entry to this information would be the same website but under “politically incorrect” on the left side of the home page.

This is one of the major reasons why I am committed to building unity among the churches. We must band and stand together. Urgent times require urgent responses to what the enemy is doing right in front of our eyes. This war is out in the open and no longer hidden. WE NEED THE ANOINTING AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, UNIFIED CHURCH, BREAKING STRONGHOLDS OVER THE WORLD, NATIONS, LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND EVEN OUR INDIVIDUAL CHURCHES AND MOST OF ALL PERSONAL HOLINESS.  THE ENEMY IS CUNNING BUT JESUS IS LORD AND THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THE CHURCH.

Please pray and intercede for REVIVAL AND HEALING among the body of Jesus Christ.

 Love you all,

 Fr. Ed Wade, CC

Dear Father Ed,

I finally saw and read up about the saints who saw hell.  This is very frightening! Why don’t we hear about this more?  This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this and it happened in 1950!  And why don’t we hear more about these saints who saw hell in our homilies and in our Catholic Schools?  Its as though everybody is just brushing these kind of truths under the rugs.

Again, thank you so much for sending this to me.

Have a blessed day,

Jane Thomas

Dear Jane,

Now that is the $60.000 dollar question, Jane. To me, this is outrageous and there is positively no excuse to ignore this part of the gospel. Both Liz Pringle and I are not going to throw this under the rug anymore. We need to proclaim the FULL GOSPEL not part of it. We need to stop worrying about offending people and constantly stop concerning ourselves with being tolerant. The stakes are too high and I will not let myself be silenced.

Jane, I want to go to heaven and not go to hell. We can choose hell by the way we live.  The four last things are death, judgment, heaven and hell. People must know the facts so we truly understand the ramifications of our behavior in our lives today.

Our Hope is Jesus Christ and what He has done for us on the cross;   the Blessed Mother; being filled with the Holy Spirit and having our way of thinking formed by Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Catholic Church and living in the state of grace through continual repentance via the sacrament of confession.

Fr. Ed says “Abort Abortion”

posted by Fr Ed Wade

Ten Catholic Colleges that Promote Abortion as reported and named in the NCRegister.  Father Ed drew our attention to this shocking article based on recent findings by the Cardinal Newman Society.   Is this where your money is going, they ask?

Here are the colleges:  Boston  College; College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University; DePaul University; Georgetown University; Loyola University of Chicago; St. Edward’s University; University of Notre Dame; University of San Francisco.

The Cardinal Newman Society has informed us that this information came out in June 2009 and may no longer be totally accurate.   We are, however, delighted to report that St. Norbert College, on discovering the problem, immediately removed the information from their website.  Way to go!  That’s what we’re talking about!  Information is moving so quickly that it is impossible for us all to stay on top of it but if we keep each other informed and aware,  good things can happen.  Thanks to The Cardinal Newman Society for being on top of theirs!
